Peru

The regions of Peru included in the grant activities are Cajamarca, Lambayeque, and the Amazonas. The women coffee producers live in small rural communities where there is very little governmental support in the areas of health and education. Due to the poor roadway system, these communities have difficulty accessing outside support. This is especially true during the rainy season. There is also a lack of electricity and telecommunication in most of the communities where the Foundation operates.
