Through this project, they seek to improve access to quality education by reducing the rural infrastructure gap and contributing to local educational development.

Activities Undertaken:

  • Meeting with teaching staff, parents, and community leaders to inform them of the support provided by the Café Femenino Foundation for the construction and furnishing of the classroom.
  • Receipt and evaluation of a proposal from the Lambayeque Educational Management Unit to utilize a prefabricated module located in the community of Kerguer, which was currently unused because the government had already constructed the main school infrastructure.
  • Unanimous decision to opt for the prefabricated module, as it could be dismantled, transported, installed, and furnished in a shorter timeframe than that required for new construction. Furthermore, this option substantially reduced the financial contribution required from the parents.
  • It was agreed that the Women’s Coffee and Quinoa Association—using funds donated by the Café Femenino Foundation—would assume the costs associated with the dismantling, transport, assembly, and installation of the prefabricated module, guaranteeing the following:
    • Receipt of one (01) prefabricated module with platform (delivered by the entity).
    • Clearing of the site designated for the prefabricated module and platform.
    • Transport of one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Site preparation—including the placement of concrete supports, clearing, manual leveling, brush removal, and soil compaction—for the installation of one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Installation of the platform for one (01) prefabricated module.
    • Installation of one (01) prefabricated module onto its platform.
    • Supply and installation of one (01) door lock (including handle) for one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Supply of consumable materials required for the installation of one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Supply and installation of new electrical wiring and fixtures for one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Supply and installation of residual current devices for one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Supply and installation of one (01) floodlight for exterior lighting for one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
    • Supply and installation of six (06) LED light fixtures for one (01) prefabricated module with platform.
